About The Position

The Physical Security Project Field Supervisor is a project management support position within our Physical Security division that is responsible for overseeing the on-site installation, implementation, and coordination of physical security system projects.  The Physical Security Project Field Supervisor will work very closely with the Physical Security Project Manager to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years’ experience working in Physical Security Implementation projects (required)
  • Maryland Security License
  • DCJS Security License

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning Support – Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop work breakdown structures, schedules, milestone roadmaps, and comprehensive project plans, including communication, testing, and change control.
  • Field Operations Oversight – Supervise daily on-site activities for physical security system installations, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Resource Coordination – Assist in allocating resources and managing technicians and subcontractors throughout project delivery.
  • Site Preparation & Surveys – Conduct pre-installation planning, site assessments, and interpret construction drawings and system diagrams.
  • Installation Verification – Ensure proper installation of access control systems, cameras, sensors, and related infrastructure such as cable pathways and conduit runs.
  • System Integration & Quality Control – Oversee device configuration, integration, and perform quality inspections to meet company and manufacturer standards.
  • Testing & Commissioning – Manage system testing, commissioning activities, and document punch list items for completion.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication – Act as the primary on-site contact, lead site meetings, provide progress updates, and support client acceptance and project closeout.
  • Safety & Compliance Enforcement – Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, PPE usage, and verify compliance with local codes and industry standards.
  • Reporting & Issue Resolution – Monitor project progress, maintain schedules, report weekly to the Project Manager, communicate resource needs, and resolve field issues promptly.
  • Technician Oversight & Scheduling – Manage daily scheduling and resource allocation, track and review technician time entries, and ensure performance standards are met.
  • Training & Development – Identify skill gaps among technicians and establish targeted training paths to improve knowledge and overall team capability.
