About The Position

Responsible for the Productivity, Efficiency, Quality, and Safety of the Production crews. Responsible for the successful installation of company's jobs according to quality standards and job specifications. Supports the company’s management, purpose, mission and values.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction, concrete or related principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of basement systems including piers, anchors, and waterproofing.
  • Knowledge of inventory and procurement practices.
  • Skill in operating personal computer and programs such as Microsoft Office, and other business software.
  • Skill in logic and math.
  • Skill in one of the trades-construction, concrete, architecture.
  • Ability to interpret complex information or instructions into understandable job specifications, measurements, instructions and standards.
  • Ability to order and manage inventory.
  • Ability to communicate with subordinates about job generalities and specifics-to give instruction.
  • Ability to motivate, guide and direct others to produce expected production outcomes.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a foreman in the construction, renovation, waterproofing or related field; or,
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to illustrate a proven track record in the business field.
  • Must maintain driving record acceptable to insurance underwriters.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises installation crews, spot checks installation at job sites, ensures equipment and products are ready and available, promotes and enforces safety standards, and that jobs are scheduled far enough in advance for installation crews to understand the specifications, location and duration of each job.
  • Supports crews by allocating work, orientation and training, setting performance expectations, in-field troubleshooting, evaluating performance outcomes, rewarding and recognizing excellent work, and recommending wage changes, promotions or transfers. Communicates regularly with crew members through individual and group meetings. Develops installation skills in staff members by delivering on-the-job training and classroom training. Disciplines staff when necessary.
  • Oversees the scheduling of jobs to ensure the appropriate placement of crews and most efficient use of company resources. Helps keep job schedules up-to-date. Reviews all crew contracts to ensure proper solution and installation. Ensures appropriate equipment is available and operative, special products are pre-ordered, inventory supply is available, and installation crews understand the specifications, location, and duration of jobs.
  • Visits job sites to recognize and/or re-direct crew behaviors, encourage continuous improvement, and find ways to gain efficiencies and more effective installation methods. Ensures that jobs are installed and completed according to quality standards, safety standards, and job specifications.
  • Prepares and presents installation best practices, safety or other related information at weekly production meetings.
  • Conducts regular homeowner visits to ensure fulfillment of the company’s mission and values to create a remarkable experience.
  • Collaborates with other managers to create efficiencies related to  production activities.
  • Holds drivers accountable for correct D.O.T. documentation concerning all pertinent information and following driver safety practices.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
