About The Position

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing field support for customer accounts in the Midwestern region, based out of the South Bend, Indiana metro area. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system issues, as well as documenting and tracking work hours and project-related costs. The technician will collaborate with skilled trades, contractors, engineers, sales teams, purchasing, accounting, and other resources to ensure excellent service for customer accounts within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Formal training in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering disciplines, or related construction trades.
• 5-7 years of prior experience in preventative/predictive maintenance with industrial mechanical or fluid handling/pumping systems.
• A basic understanding of fabrication, metals, welding, project estimation, electrical controls, and mechanical systems in an industrial environment is essential.
• Strong foundational troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills, ability to work with web-based systems.
• Ability to work independently to achieve assigned tasks
• Excellent customer service, time management and personal organizational skills are essential.
• Attention to detail, mathematical proficiency and ability to document and track service accounts effectively and thoroughly.
• Will be required to be on-call 24/7 on a rotating basis
• Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Required Travel up to 25%.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
