About the role: The Field Services Manager will oversee all field operations for our environmental laboratory, ensuring that sample collection, site assessments, and on-site testing are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role combines team leadership, client management, and technical expertise in environmental sampling and laboratory support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science , Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental field services, with at least 2 years of supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sampling protocols, and laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with field data collection tools, GPS/GIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to multiple field sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the field services team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate on-site environmental sampling, inspections, and field-testing activities.
  • Ensure all field operations comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding field operations and site-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure proper handling, documentation, and transport of samples.
  • Maintain and manage field equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and standard operating procedures for field staff.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical guidance to staff as needed.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client use.
