Overview This position is a lead position in which the incumbent’s time is divided between leading and participating in the successful completion of installations and other field services activities; and assisting the Supervisor with determining, organizing, and delegating work assignments. Coordinates plans with sales, customers, and contractors. Maintains high level of A-dec product training, upholding standards and regulatory requirements while reporting field experience to the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience assisting with leading projects and people.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with the ability to understand and successfully convey technical information.
  • Ability to use independent judgement when dealing with employee relations issues and know when to reach out for guidance.
  • Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues, and must be able to take independent initiative to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and successfully solve problems with both customers and teammates.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to appropriately prioritize work and effectively use systems to capture and retrieve information.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with multiple internal and external stakeholders using all available resources to accomplish work and benefit the customer.
  • Must have strong computer skills including PC knowledge and skills, for use with A-dec products (troubleshooting, connectivity, database, understand computer systems, hardware).
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Current valid passport (or qualify to obtain one within 3 months) and ability to travel internationally.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Drug and /or alcohol testing may be required for specific projects.
  • Requires technical and mechanical experience.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis.
  • Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively.
  • Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the successful completion of field service activities including installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance in a timely manner working closely with Sales, and Specials Engineering.
  • Generates template packets for architects and contractors and developing contract submittal packets.
  • May coordinate outside services with contractors when necessary.
  • Upon supervisor’s request, provides employee performance input, makes recommendations for work assignments, and may assist area supervisor in setting individual performance goals.
  • Coordinates, supports, and provides training and assists Supervisor with coordinating work for Field Techs including quality and safety requirements.
  • Assists area supervisor in managing work area goals and performance.
  • Must be flexible in working hours as this position will require customer support during non-regular business hours, and/or weekend work as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned, including assisting other teams.
