About The Position

OWL Services is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment in the field. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, safety-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues and working independently. Technicians serve as the front line of service, ensuring critical equipment such as POS systems, alarms, and security devices operate efficiently. This position offers hands-on technical work, overtime opportunities, and strong potential for career growth.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver
  • Strong attention to safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Ability to travel 30–40% overnight
  • Good driving record
  • Proficiency with computers and smartphones

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with POS systems (Verifone, NCR)
  • Experience with alarm systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment
  • Ability to complete service requests professionally and efficiently
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Experience using testing devices and various hand and power tools
  • Willingness to support installations or upgrades in other regions

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical devices including cash registers, coin changers, alarms, and POS systems
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Complete service requests and maintenance repairs in a timely and professional manner
  • Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings to ensure proper service execution
  • Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools required for repairs
  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures and protocols
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other technicians
  • Travel 30–40% overnight, including temporary assignments for installations and upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile devices
