About The Position

We are currently assisting our client, a leading supplier in the construction equipment industry, in their search for an experienced Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the company's rental and customer-owned equipment. Job Description: Diagnosing, inspecting and repairing various types of forestry and other earth moving equipment Servicing rentals, and customer-owned equipment Utilizing electrical, hydraulic and computer-controlled systems knowledge Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors, and vendors Driving to/from company locations and job sites Being on call Lifting up to 50 lbs

Requirements

3-5 years’ experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
Positive customer service and communication skills
Experience using laptop computers and scan tools for diagnostic trouble-shooting
Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
Safe work habits and a “can do” job completion attitude
Ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
Required to have your own hand tools up to 1 ½ inch
Ability to perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
A high school diploma or equivalent
Able to pass a drug screen and background check
Valid Washington or Oregon State or Idaho Driver’s License, CDL endorsement is Required
