About The Position

At Milton Rents, we pride ourselves on being a leader in the heavy equipment rental industry. We're looking for skilled mechanics and technicians who are passionate about their craft and eager to make a difference. If you have a knack for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, we want you on our team! Pay rate: $39.83 hour. This is a union position.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with construction or heavy machinery, including hydraulics, electric systems, and diesel engines.
• Ability to assess, question, evaluate, and report on equipment performance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to embrace new technology (cell phones, iPads, CRM, etc.).
• A hunger for knowledge and the ability to apply new skills.
• High School diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience as a rental equipment technician or a similar role in the repair industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Valid medical card or ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have your own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Capability to sit and stand for long periods with frequent bending.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a rental equipment technician or a similar role in the repair industry is preferred.
• High School diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental and customer heavy equipment with precision and expertise.
• Share your knowledge by training other technicians on repairs, maintenance, and system diagnostics.
• Travel to customer jobsites to provide top-notch repair and maintenance services.
• Complete work orders and service documentation accurately and on time.
• Work directly with customers and vendors to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, ensuring satisfaction and reliability.
