About The Position

For our Entry Door segment, the Field Service Technician serves as a valuable resource to our customers performing service and repairs to our products once installed in the field. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Representing Lumbermen’s favorably and building/fostering relationships with customers Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of the products offered Assessing service/installation needs based on service requests Completing service/repair/install work in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring complete customer satisfaction Completing all service documentation accurately and on time Communicating effectively with the Service Coordinator Maintaining and accurate and complete parts inventory, as applicable Safely operating and maintaining assigned company vehicle Ensuring company vehicle is stocked with all necessary tools and supplies to perform assigned duties Complying with all safety policies and procedures at all time Report any/all accidents in a timely manner Assisting with production support in the Door shop as needed At Lumbermen’s, our business is built on relationships. It’s crucial that the person selected to fill this role is a safety-minded team player who gets energy from contributing to collaborative success. This position offers a $250 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. This position may involve working overtime and out of town based on needs. The salary range for this position will be $55,000 to $60,000

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Knowledge of construction/building processes
  • Service-oriented
  • Customer-focused
  • Able to work cooperatively with sales and production teams
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance
  • Willing and able to learn
  • Able to perform work accurately with high attention to detail
  • Possess strong electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Physical ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders, work on knees for extended periods of time
  • Proficiency with power tools
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Therma-Tru Doors
  • Experience as a field technician on service/installation of entry doors
