About The Position

A growing medical alert services provider basedis seeking a part-time Field Service Technician to support clients in the Baltimore region, including Baltimore City and County, Howard, Anne Arundel, Harford Counties, and the Metro DC area. This entry-level role involves installing, resetting, and servicing medical alert systems in clients’ homes. The position typically averages 30–35 hours per week and includes a mix of field work and occasional office visits. This role is ideal for someone reliable, personable, and customer-service oriented, as technicians regularly assist seniors and individuals with disabilities. Paid training is provided, and strong communication skills are more important than prior technical experience.

Requirements

  • Reliable personal vehicle for travel (mileage reimbursed).
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally up to 2–3 hours round trip for appointments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in clients’ homes.
  • Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Baltimore City.
  • No degree or prior technical experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, service, and retrieve medical alert systems in clients’ homes.
  • Troubleshoot and reset equipment as needed.
  • Provide friendly, patient technical support to clients, primarily seniors.
  • Travel to service locations throughout the Baltimore region.
  • Occasionally assist with training new technicians (travel expenses covered).
  • Respond to equipment service calls during evenings or weekends as needed.
