About The Position

OWL Services is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment at customer locations. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working independently in the field, and delivering reliable service to customers. Technicians serve as the face of the company while ensuring critical equipment—including POS systems, alarms, and security devices—operates efficiently. This position offers opportunities for overtime, travel experience, and long-term technical career growth.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve technical problems effectively
  • Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other technicians
  • Ability to travel 30–40% overnight
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with POS systems (Verifone/NCR)
  • Experience with alarm systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security quipment, alarms, and POS equipment
  • Experience completing service requests and maintenance repairs in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service tasks
  • Experience utilizing testing devices and various hand and power tools related to the job
  • Willingness to be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to support installations and upgrades

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical devices including cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and POS systems
  • Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Complete service requests and maintenance tasks professionally and efficiently
  • Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings to perform accurate repairs
  • Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools as required
  • Follow all company and customer safety protocols
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with other technicians in the area
  • Travel 30–40% overnight, including temporary assignments to other regions for installations or upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation using company systems, computers, and mobile devices
