About The Position

Field Service Technician role provides advanced technical support to customers and engineers—on-site, in the field, or virtually—across a range of complex tasks. Technicians are responsible for collecting, formatting, and analyzing technical data to support the repair and maintenance of power electronic equipment. Must reside within USA (lower 48). 100% remote but MUST be willing to travel between 90-100% nationwide based on customer support needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of field service experience in both electrical and mechanical domains
  • Must be a “Road Warrior”—willing and able to travel between 90-100%
  • Demonstrated expertise in servicing and troubleshooting power electronic systems, including low and medium voltage switchgear, soft starters, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Proven proficiency in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electrical and power electronic equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed to support urgent customer requirements
  • Customer-focused professional with a team-oriented mindset and a commitment to service excellence.
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis, without restriction and without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals on F-1 OPT, CPT, H-1B, or other temporary work authorizations. We are unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, modify, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment using various diagnostic tools.
  • Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments, part replacements, component repairs.
  • Provide technical support to engineers in the field or on-site for complex service tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors while delivering high-quality technical service.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze technical data such as lab results, material tests, and engineering design changes.
  • Generate engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, conduct tests and record findings.
  • Perform calculations and interpret results to support service decisions.
  • Read and interpret general electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Apply broad technical knowledge of electronic principles to restore equipment functionality and resolve issues.
  • Follow all company and industry safety standards and policies.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
