About The Position

Full Time Field Service Technician - Moline, Davenport, and Bettendorf IA Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Moline, Davenport, and Bettendorf IA area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory consists of 50+ kiosks and number of hours per week is around 40. This role pays $21-24 an hour based on experience. Company car will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles. Wellness Program Employee Stock Purchase Plan Vacation/Paid Time Off/Sick Days/Floating Holidays Essential Job Functions Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule). Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order. New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area. Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues. Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech's possession. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred). Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred). A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred). Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical "jargon". Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook Ability to always represent Hillman professionally Ability to work weekends when required Operational Equipment Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates. Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed) Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Sales/Service: Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required. Physical Demands Sales/Service: Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical "jargon".
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
