The Field Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance of Hamilton Medical ventilation products in a field service capacity in support of the Southern California territory. The ideal candidate will reside near or in Los Angeles, CA, or San Diego, CA.

Requirements

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interface and communicate well with customers.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner.
  • Associate degree required in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or certificate from accredited electronics school or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Position requires exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • Position requires travel.
  • Drug and background screenings required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital, bio-medical, or field service experience and basic understanding of ventilation is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of ventilation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • New equipment installation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment.
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures.
  • Sales are a vital part of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
