About The Position

The field technician is the primary contact between TransFresh and its customers. This environment presents the individual with a broad range of responsibilities. The individual will be responsible for duties and decisions ranging from inventory forecasting and management to customer relations. Primary responsibilities include promoting the value equation of TransFresh to its customers through frequent personal contact. This includes tasks such: as engaging the customers regarding safety and quality training related to the Tectrol process and equipment and providing seamless inventory management. Secondarily, the field service technician is responsible for decisions ranging from customer relations to inventory management. Persons applying for this position must have the ability to: organize their time well, keep detailed records, adjust to quickly changing situations, make independent decisions and communicate well with other individuals. In the course of these duties, the Field Technician will be required to drive vehicles up to 33,000 lbs. GVW and operate a forklift. The individual will be required to lift boxes up to 60 lbs. Perform a variety of mechanical tasks. A strong mechanical or engineering background is beneficial as well as familiarity with packaging equipment. TransFresh will provide the training necessary to perform the duties required by the position.

Requirements

  • Clean Driving Record
  • Forklift Operation Certificate (will train)
  • Class C Commercial California Driver's License with HAZMAT endorsement (will train)

Nice To Haves

  • A strong mechanical or engineering background is beneficial as well as familiarity with packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain accurate inventories at various customer locations.
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of Tectrol equipment at customer locations.
  • Monitor and instruct customers on the proper application of the Tectrol process.
  • Perform quality control surveys related to the application of the Tectrol process.
  • Facilitate open lines of communication between the customer and TransFresh.
  • Provide Safety training to customer personnel in relation to the Tectrol equipment and processes.
