About The Position

Overview: Greeley, CO: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Sr. Field Service Technician (Gas Compression). Essential Duties: Conduct maintenance functions, procedures, activities, and duties related to gas compression packages. Assist fellow technicians with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, installing, and commissioning both gas-fired and electric-driven compressor packages. Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork daily. Direct, coordinate, and perform job activities in alignment with project goals and objectives. Provide leadership and training to new and junior-level Field Technicians. Independently and efficiently diagnose engine and compressor failures. Provide input to supervisors on personnel and material needs for optimal job planning. Lead and complete accurate and timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls on gas compressor packages under field conditions. Accurately troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley) at an advanced level. Perform advanced engine tuning functions to adjust engine performance and emissions for multiple major OEMs (CAT/Waukesha). Respond to and repair recurring problems and emergency services independently. Lead installation of new units, including commissioning and start-up inspections, without supervision. Perform mechanical inspections using micrometers, pressure gauges, diagnostic equipment, and other specialty tools. Participate in call-out rotation and effectively perform emergency repairs. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies at applicable locations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with advanced vocational/technical training.
  • 10+ years of applicable experience.
  • Proof of certification from CAT/Waukesha (or equivalent) required in: CAT Gas I CAT Gas II CAT Electrical Ariel Basic Ariel Mechanical CAT 3500 ADEM III CAT 3500 ULB Waukesha VHP CAT 3600 ADEM III CAT 3600 Master Mechanic CAT Failure Analysis Waukesha 9390
  • Must stay current on all updated OEM model-specific training.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods, stoop, squat, bend, and kneel.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
  • Push and pull valves, climb stairs and ladders routinely.
  • Work in environmental conditions including heat, humidity, cold, rain, and mud.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE): hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs (up to 3 hours at a time), and steel-toe boots (all day).
