We’re searching for a Field Service Technician to join our growing Product Support team and play a key role in driving our vision forward. As a Field Service Technician, you will be at the heart of our customer success, providing hands-on expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cutting-edge transit equipment.

Requirements

  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency with electrical systems, automotive wiring, voltmeters, and small tools.
  • Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills to handle demanding situations and deliver exceptional service.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose, resolve, and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
  • 2-4 years of technical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (AS degree and A+ certification preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with tools like MathWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Visual Basic, and SCADA software is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Luminator’s hardware and software.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide technical support.
  • Stay current with company products, installation methods, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform on-site pre-start-up, start-up, service work, warranty, and training.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Accurately document all work performed, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with plant operators, management, vendors, and team members.
  • Review product prints and specifications.
  • Participate in projects such as upgrades and new installations.
  • Ensure products are installed to specifications.
  • Coordinate with other teams to meet commitments.
  • Document processes and follow company protocols.
  • Operate vehicles safely and use field systems appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and share information.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
