About The Position

As field service technician at Hugg and Hall, you will repair various types of material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, and more. In this role, you will: Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, perform in field diagnostic assessments, and repair a wide range of construction equipment and components Use your in-depth mechanical knowledge and expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment functionality. Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles. Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or in a related industry
  • Must own a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
