Overview Position Summary: The Field Service Technician Lead is responsible for managing the on-site team during major component exchange projects. Oversees field operations, ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards, and serving as the main point of contact between the field team and project management. The Field Service Technician Lead is expected to demonstrate exemplary leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to the safety-driven culture within the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Lead and supervise field operations for major component exchanges on wind turbines, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Field Service Technicians I, II, and III. Ensure safety protocols are adhered to, with an emphasis on proactive safety leadership and a safety-first mentality. Develop and implement work scheduled, allocate resources, and oversee job-site logistics. Review and approve service reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Communicate effectively with management and clients regarding project progress, challenges, and successes. Conduct risk assessments and troubleshooting for complex issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.
