Learn more about RG Group and watch interviews with RG Group associates at https://www.rg-group.com/careers Position Summary: The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for timely and quality service and repair work of hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems and other mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skillset and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems.
  • Experience with hose fabrication, metal fabrication, tube fabrication, bending and end conditioning.
  • Welding experience, certified in MIG or TIG welding a plus.
  • Responsible for team of hydraulic technicians while on job sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Travel to other RG Group or customer locations often overnight.
  • Both office and manufacturing environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience, certified in MIG or TIG welding a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Completes service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field.
  • Supervises a team of hydraulic technicians.
  • Sells products that would benefit the customer.
  • Tests systems.
  • Supports startups and field commissions as necessary.
  • Works with business unit manager to develop and grow service business.
