About The Position

Job Summary: As a Resident Field Service Technician, this individual will provide field service support with oversight for P66 Ferndale Operations and surrounding area. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining one of our systems, performing a variety of routine to complex tasks related to operation, maintenance, and the calibration of the equipment. This mission critical role involves potentially working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), and ultrafiltration (UF). Requirements

  • Strong technical, mathematical and customer service skills
  • General knowledge of electrical equipment, water chemistry and safety
  • Vision, manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to service instruments and handle electrical equipment
  • Ability to learn applicable company procedures within a reasonable time from start of employment
  • Computer proficiency with a minimum of word processing and spreadsheets, and basic data base knowledge
  • Ability to use ordinary hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation, as well as chemically aggressive fluids, such as acids and bases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem-solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor or associate’s degree in science/engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation or Mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
  • Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements.
  • Assist in providing service activities including parts refurbishment, maintenance, calibration of equipment, inspection, repair, performance testing, customer communications, project assessment and execution, and telephone customer support
  • Have the ability to work schedules that will fluctuate based on customer and business needs / demands
  • Perform diagnostics testing, repairs, test and calibration routines on the instruments, and complete all required paperwork
  • Accurately account for all inventory transactions associated with the repair process
  • Provide extensive equipment support and general hardware and software support
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle (if applicable) and comply with all Veolia Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies
  • Other duties as assigned
