About The Position
GA Foods is seeking to hire a Route Delivery Driver for our Daytona Beach location. If you have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and want to make a difference in peoples' lives, this is the job for you! Our Route Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering ready-made, hot and/or frozen/shelf stable meals to senior citizens and other at-risk populations, according to assigned route. Compassion and empathy for those in need is a fundamental orientation our most successful employees possess.
Requirements
- Valid Driver License (No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts.)
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
- General Office Equipment and Computer Experience
- GPS and Tablet Technologies
- Min. 3 years prior route delivery/distribution exp. preferred
- ServSafeFood Handler Certification
Responsibilities
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Maintain food safety and handling procedures in compliance to temperature requirements
- Report any deficiencies or problems to the supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
- Perform daily vehicle inspections andmaintainservice records
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform a general routine inspection of the vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assistwith packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies asrequired
- Regular attendancerequiredto meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can beaccomplishedas scheduled
- Other duties as assigned by management
