About The Position

Our Field Service Representatives are responsible for troubleshooting field issues with our facility equipment as well as installing our Portable Basketball systems in gymnasiums to meet rules/specification. This role engages internal team-mates and external resources, and requires effective communication skills, the ability to work without supervision, and a keen attention to detail. Occasionally this role requires travelling to athletic facilities across the United States, such as high schools, colleges/universities, and large community rec centers. This role schedules their own travel. Requirements

  • Must be able to analyze and resolve product, equipment, and testing issues using independent judgment
  • Ability to learn new products, systems, and technologies quickly
  • Work independently and be self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail including expert workmanship and appearance of finished product
  • General knowledge of carpentry, tools, and assembly, with a mechanical aptitude
  • Able to follow and learn detailed instruction troubleshooting/inspection/repair scenarios, to work independently in the future
  • Ability to learn function, design, intended use, and mechanisms of several products to lead troubleshooting efforts and perform technical service
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve product issues using independent judgment
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize issues and tasks
  • Basic mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot

  • Ability to use/learn MRP system (Epicor) to process and advance work
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English over the phone, in person, and email
  • Ability to work in a drug-free work place and to pass a drug screen
  • Posses and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customers’ inquiries regarding equipment that is not working properly
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify/resolve issues via phone, email, and in-person/on-site
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with external customers, such as Athletic Directors, Coaches, Sales Partners, and Equipment Installers
  • Lead the planning and on-site efforts for products that LSG offers installation services
  • Support Project Managers (and other Sales staff) to serve customers’ equipment inquiries, including installation support and pre-sale questions
  • Support the R+D Team in the design and testing of new products and equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Support other Functional Areas (primarily Sales and Manufacturing) as needed with technical expertise and equipment knowledge
  • Work independently and self-manage project load to meet customer’s demands and expectations
  • Present a professional image to customers while in the field and during all communications via, phone, text, email, etc
  • Traveling to site-locations is a key attribute of this role, with some installation work planned weeks in advance, while other troubleshooting/service work needs immediate attention with travel on short notice (within a day or two).
