Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in stormwater management or quality assurance is a plus.
Experience: Extensive experience & knowledge of stormwater systems, maintenance and repairs required.
Required License/Certifications: Current & valid driver’s license with a clean record required. Up to 75% travel required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Proven experience in stormwater pond maintenance or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, safety requirements, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects against tight deadlines with focus on excellence.
Ability to focus on client and customer services, and building and growing a strong business.
Proficient with mobile technology (i.e. iPad, laptop, email, etc.), Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of stormwater management principles, including sediment control, vegetation management, and erosion control techniques.
Willing to travel regionally (All travel expenses are covered by the Company, no reimbursement needed!)
Comfortable with supervising job sites in a variety of weather conditions
Background check, drug screening and driving record review are part of the pre-employment process.
Must maintain our Company’s “No Jerk” culture
Valid driver's license, ability to drive company vehicles and insurability under the company's auto policy are ongoing requirements of this position.

Responsibilities

An FSM will be assigned a primary territory. A primary territory is comprised of geographically similar crews, likely to be across more than one SSDM’s territories. There may be isolated opportunities for collaboration across territories depending on growth, training, or other needs identified by the team.
The FSM must determine the level of quality of greater than 85% of the sites within their primary territory by the end of Q3 of the second year of their hire. This is accomplished by compiling the historical QA entries. For sites with no entries within the last 18 months, the FSM must make a physical visit within ten days of a PM service, and/or coordinate scheduled assessments with the SSDM/FSD as part of their quarterly goals.
For sites with grades of ‘C,’ ‘D,’ and ‘F, the FSM must confer with the associated SSDM, who will have been to each site for a follow up QA assessment. An FSM should work with the SSDM on the back to compliance action plan for sites that score a C or below. The FSM needs to create a spreadsheet documenting the month-by-month improvement plan. If a site is receiving a low QA grade due to preventative maintenance flaws, then it needs to be determined how many PM visits it will take to get it compliant. The FSM needs to follow up on these visits to ensure that these are followed.
All repair opportunities found during QA inspections should be logged as a repair opportunity within D365
Each FSM should obtain a spray license within the state most relevant (and reciprocal) to their territory. Licensing, knowledge, and application of turf and aquatic herbicides and algaecides is expected, where needed, during QA assessments and to supplement PM vegetation control.
An FSM will be responsible for performing routine “crew touches,” where they meet up with a crew while on site. The needs will be identified based on QA results, new hire, and collaboration with the SSDM. This will allow the FSM to coach the crew on: o Service Quality / Scope of Work o Repair opportunity identification o Stormwater knowledge o Equipment usage and maintenance o Driving compliance (e.g. having an accessible fire extinguisher and inflated tires) o Safety procedures o New protocols
Understanding the software will be paramount to ensuring that an FSM’s territory’s crews know how to use the software needed to complete the job. This includes: LearnUpon; Field Service Mobile; ServiceTech; ServiceChannel; Zoom; Dropbox; Microsoft Teams; Outlook; Paychex; FleetioGo; PictureThis
Continuous learning for stormwater knowledge is essential; completing AQUALIS University courses, as well as pursuing state and local stormwater certifications and attending courses, will pay dividends for our quality team and the greater team.
A strong understanding of Dynamics 365 and Field Service Mobile is imperative, as there are few in the company who understand both systems and that will be valuable to be able to verify that bookings are completed properly. There will be some regular reports and there will be activities that need to be pushed out to specific bookings, such as O&M inspections and sediment measurements.
