About The Position

The Field Service Intern role is a hands-on opportunity to learn what it takes to support mission-critical power systems in the field. As a Field Service Intern at LionHeart, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced Field Service Engineers (FSEs), gaining real-world exposure to the technical, operational, and customer-facing aspects of our core business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning in an active environment, and wants to explore a long-term career in field service and critical power.

Requirements

  • Interest in mechanical, electrical, or technical work
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
  • Comfort working in a physical, hands-on environment
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, tools, and supplies as needed
  • Curiosity about a long-term career in field service or skilled trades
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Previous technical experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ride along with Field Service Engineers to customer sites
  • Observe and assist with regular maintenance on industrial generators, transfer switches, and fire pump engines
  • Learn how technicians troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on critical equipment
  • Help load, unload, and transport tools, parts, and equipment to and from job sites
  • Get hands-on in the shop as needed, supporting equipment prep and learning how the field and shop work together to deliver for customers
  • See firsthand how FSEs communicate with customers, chief engineers, and internal office teams
  • Ask questions, build foundational skills, and steadily take on more responsibility as you learn
