About The Position

Our client, a Global Leader in Energy Technology, is seeking to hire a Field Service Engineer. This is a long-term opportunity based in Reno, NV. You will make impact with the following responsibilities: Installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of LV and MV power distribution equipment. Troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting. Will develop test plans for complex relay systems and successfully test and troubleshoot those systems. Ability to develop switching procedures, Methods of Procedure (MOP's), and advise on electrical safety matters related to scheduled work and unscheduled work.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in field service and / or industrial engineering technical support.
Experience with low and medium voltage Switchgear.
Knowledge and/or experience with breakers or high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment.
Skilled in troubleshooting & repairing electrical control circuits.
Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with different manufacturers relays to include but not limited to SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin is a plus.
