About The Position

In 1989, Wikoff’s first continual improvement department was established, adopting a Total Quality Management approach. Over the years, the department has matured and expanded its vision to include not only oversight of the quality management system, but also training programs and employee safety while adopting other improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma. The Field Services Engineer plays a critical role in driving Wikoff's growth by delivering high-quality, visually compelling materials that support both new sales and customer retention. From initial concept to final production, this role transforms complex ideas into clear, strategic visuals that help differentiate our brand in competitive bid environments. This role will be instrumental in developing and delivering clear, engaging messaging both internally and externally, ensuring alignment across all key stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, adaptable, and eager to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. This person must be comfortable managing content across multiple channels and working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

  • BS in mechanical or electrical engineering related degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance or automation equipment related field.
  • Experience in the printing and flexible packaging industry
  • Experience in Omron CX programmer
  • Experience in logic controllers and automation
  • Forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate a forklift safely in a manufacturing environment with regard to personnel and property
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and repair of manufacturing and processing equipment
  • Maintain and update necessary documentation such as manuals/guides provided by manufacturer
  • Build trust and positive relationships with customers
  • Create necessary documents and presentations for customer and sales force use
  • Assist sales force and customers with technical related issues
  • Identify and order correct replacement parts for equipment
  • Work with freight forwarding company to arrange delivery and pickup of equipment
  • Identify cost and relay internally for salesforce to generate customer estimates
  • Work internally with other departments and personnel to setup part numbers and vendors
  • Work internally with other departments and personnel for billing and invoicing
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment with regards to yourself and others
  • Work in person, or remotely, with customers and sales force to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues
  • Train customers and personnel on how to use equipment correctly
  • Develop project guidelines with clear goals while maintaining commitment deadlines
  • Maintain accurate inventory and assist other personnel in inventory management as necessary
  • Perform necessary tests and data collection to assist in equipment maintenance and production performance quality
