About The Position

Bio-Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the West Palm Beach, FL area to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on our Clinical Diagnostics instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories. As a Field Service Engineer, you may also be asked to travel on short notice to support other team members within the region. Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem and finding solutions, as our Field Service Engineer, you will play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Bio-Rad customers. In this highly autonomous role, you will spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with travel up to 5 days a week in your assigned territory as part of a national service team. No day or week will look the same, and your work will have a direct impact on Bio-Rad's success! The environment and culture for this role is fast-paced and you'll be constantly “on the go”. It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers. Supporting and maintaining the Bio-Rad instruments on which our customers rely on to make scientific breakthroughs helping to advance healthcare research and treatments. Building and sustaining strong relationships allows you to anticipate and advocate for our customers' needs. By adhering to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation helps protect Bio-Rad's integrity and reputation in the industry. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
  • Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
  • Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.
