Now Hiring: Power Systems Field Service Dispatcher – Houston, TX (Field Service Dispatcher | Generator Service Coordinator | Diesel Engine Dispatch | Power Systems Scheduler) Mustang Cat is hiring a skilled Field Service Dispatcher to support our Power Systems division by coordinating service requests for diesel and natural gas engines and generator systems. In this role, you’ll serve as the key liaison between customers, field technicians, and internal service teams, ensuring timely repairs and exceptional customer support across Southeast Texas. If you’re experienced in dispatching service teams or scheduling generator repairs, this role offers a stable career path with strong benefits and growth opportunities. As a Power Systems Service Dispatcher, you’ll play a central role in managing the field repair process—from scheduling technicians to communicating directly with customers. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help ensure we deliver the high-level service Mustang Cat is known for. Responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience dispatching in a service or repair-based industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to work within service software
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with diesel engine or generator systems
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English

Responsibilities

  • Supervise progress of in-field repairs on diesel and natural gas generators and engines
  • Dispatch and schedule technicians to expedite repairs efficiently
  • Coordinate parts orders and component repair status
  • Monitor technician overtime and control field service expenses
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally
  • Open, edit, review, and invoice work orders in a timely manner
