About The Position

Step into a week on the road You start your morning at a customer site in the Houston area, laptop open, PLC online. By lunch, you’ve traced a fault through electrical schematics, tuned a hydraulic circuit, and verified robot motion. Before day’s end, you’ve calibrated the machine, validated safety, and documented the repair so production can run at full speed. That’s a typical day as our Field Service Controls & Automation Engineer. What you’ll do Install, commission, service, and repair advanced manufacturing machinery across customer locations in the Houston area. Diagnose complex issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using schematics and test equipment. Work safely on high voltage systems with hands-on expertise. Troubleshoot and program PLCs to restore functionality and optimize performance. Program and support industrial robots in production environments. Perform precise machine calibration to meet specification and quality targets. Document work performed and communicate findings to customers and internal teams. Travel extensively (approximately 90%) to customer sites.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of field service experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Must have hands-on high voltage experience.
  • Must have experience with PLCs, including troubleshooting and programming.
  • Background working with hydraulics and robotics.
  • Machine calibration experience.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
