The Field Service Center Test Plate Technician supports the Vermont Field Service Repair Center by performing calibration, inspection, testing, and recertification of absorbance and fluorescence test plates manufactured at the Vermont factory. These products serve as critical validation tools for customers and service technicians worldwide. This role ensures test plates meet established performance and quality standards while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting occasional repair activities. The technician works closely with the Vermont Field Service Center team and collaborates with other on-site departments to ensure efficient processing and reliable product performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in calibration, laboratory testing, quality control, or technical service preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using computer applications, including data entry, documentation, and use of standard office or laboratory software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a technical service environment.

  • Proven experience responding to customer questions and resolving issues through written communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming test plates.
  • Perform calibration, functional testing, and recertification of absorbance and fluorescence test plates.
  • Record and maintain accurate testing and certification documentation.
  • Perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper operation of calibration tools.
  • Follow established quality, safety, and documentation procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to support operational goals.
