Field Service Apprentice, Electrical (Gallus) Location: New Jersey What we are looking for: Apprenticeship for those with proven capability of hand tool utilization and understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts. We have a unique opportunity for an Electrical apprentice who is motivated in growing with the Heidelberg team. Our apprenticeship program offers training with a starting base salary of $44,200 K + with the potential of up to $60,000 (Total Compensation) during the first year (with growth in income after successful completion of program), paid travel expenses, a per diem and full employee benefits. By working on Heidelberg machines, you secure a global presence with a unique skillset. What you will do: Electrical Controls apprentice position specializing on Gallus equipment. Utilizing understanding of Ohms law and acquired electrical skills and measuring instruments to troubleshoot electrical problems. Mechanical/electrical knowledge does not need to be limited to printing equipment. Must be willing to travel extensively. Basic computer skills are important. 3-year program with the potential to advance or graduate sooner. Successful completion would result in a functional field service representative. Working with and assisting Field Service Personnel during the installation and maintenance of Heidelberg equipment, both in the field and in Heidelberg facilities. Provide exemplary Customer service: Expected to understand the customer’s need to keep their equipment productive and explain what will be required to restore their equipment to operation. Most service work is performed at the customer’s site so regular attendance and timeliness is expected. There may be times that overtime, or weekend work will be a critical function for success.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel about 80- 100% of the time during and after apprenticeship program.
  • 3-year commitment to program
  • Electrical/ mechatronics/ etc. experience
  • Like working with your hands and have a mechanical aptitude
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Must be 21+ years older due to travel and car policy
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Hand tools: 1 year (Required)
  • Electrical: 1 year (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial electrician: 1 year (Preferred)
