The Field Security Program Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all field security operations to protect company personnel, assets, facilities, and operations across multiple field locations. This role develops and implements security strategies, policies, and procedures designed to mitigate risk, prevent loss, and ensure a safe working environment in the field. The Manager works closely with operations leadership, regional managers, and external partners to identify potential threats, coordinate incident response, and maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards. This position provides strategic leadership to field security personnel, manages security programs and technologies, and ensures consistent security practices are implemented across all operational sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (criminal justice, security management, or similar).
  • 7–10+ years in security operations, law enforcement, military, or corporate security.
  • Leadership experience managing corporate or regional security programs.
  • Required/Must possess within 12 months of onboarding: Texas DPS Level IV Personal Protection Officer credential ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) DHS ICS 100, 200, and 300 certifications Investigative interviewing certification through Wicklander-Zulawski or The Reid Institute
  • Security Operations Management Ability to plan, implement, and oversee large-scale security programs.
  • Managing field security personnel across multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of patrol operations, guard force management, and site security protocols.
  • Risk Assessment & Threat Analysis Identifying potential threats to people, facilities, and operations.
  • Utilization of predictive analytics and protective intelligence in the security environment.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Developing mitigation strategies to reduce risk.
  • Crisis & Incident Management Leading responses to emergencies, security breaches, or critical incidents.
  • Coordinating with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal leadership.
  • Developing emergency response and business continuity plans.
  • Leadership & Team Development Managing, mentoring, and developing security teams.
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure.
  • Building strong relationships with regional and site managers.
  • Security Technology & Systems Knowledge Strong familiarity with the technological aspects of physical security.
  • Access control, cameras, alarms, and security monitoring system(s).
  • Case monitoring and incident reporting systems.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management Clear reporting to executives and senior leadership.
  • Collaboration with operations, legal, HR, and compliance teams.
  • Training employees on security awareness and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Policy Development Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring company practices meet legal and industry standards.
  • Investigative Skills Conducting internal investigations into theft, misconduct, or security violations.
  • Collecting, preserving, and storing evidence to maintain security and chain of custody.
  • Preparing incident and investigative reports.
  • Coordinating with law enforcement when required.
  • Strategic Planning Aligning security initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Budget planning for security programs and technologies.
  • Long-term security strategy development.
  • Physical Security & Asset Protection Protecting company facilities, equipment, and personnel.
  • Designing security plans for field locations and remote sites.
  • Implementing theft prevention and loss control measures.

Responsibilities

  • Security Strategy & Policies Develop and implement field security policies and procedures across multiple locations and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Create security programs that protect company facilities, employees, and assets.
  • Field Operations Oversight Manage security operations across multiple sites or regions.
  • Coordinate security teams, guards, contractors, and regional security managers.
  • Monitor emerging security threats, criminal trends, and regional risks that could impact field operations and personnel.
  • Manage Contract Security relationships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with area law enforcement agencies and industry counterpart security leaders.
  • Coordinate Contraband Searches.
  • Risk Assessment & Audit Develop and maintain a field security risk management framework that identifies, evaluates, and mitigates security threats across operational areas.
  • Perform periodic audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to company security standards.
  • Incident & Crisis Management Lead response to security incidents or emergencies, and support response to HSE incidents.
  • Coordinate evacuations, investigations, and reporting after incidents.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal leadership.
  • Technology & Systems Oversee surveillance systems, access control, alarms, and security technology.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in emerging and evolving security technologies, systems, and best practices.
  • Ensure systems are working properly across all locations.
  • Team Leadership Recruit, train, and supervise field security personnel.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs.
  • Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Report security risks and incidents to executives.
