Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or related science.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Liquid or Gas Chromatography.
  • Proven customer-facing experience (sales, tech support, or project management).
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Financially savvy with the ability to craft and manage a business plan.
  • Technically proficient with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and other business tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience selling or supporting chromatography consumables strongly preferred.
  • Sales/consultative training (e.g. SPIN Selling) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sell with Purpose: Represent Restek’s full suite of chromatography consumables—GC & LC columns, accessories, reference standards, and sample prep products.
  • Own Your Territory: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan designed to grow revenue and strengthen relationships in key vertical markets.
  • Deliver Solutions: Act as a technical resource for customers—answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and support product evaluations.
  • Build Relationships that Last: Establish trust with customers through consultative selling and exceptional service.
  • Stay Organized & Agile: Leverage CRM and sales tools to manage your pipeline, prioritize leads, and document interactions effectively.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work cross-functionally with Customer Care, Product Marketing, and Business Development to deliver seamless customer experience.
  • Travel: Expect up to 50% travel—mostly within your territory—to connect with customers face-to-face and uncover new opportunities.
