About The Position

As the Colorado Field Safety Specialist, you’ll be the go-to safety expert supporting Tasman’s Colorado field operations. You’ll work side-by-side with field crews and leadership to ensure health and safety programs are not only compliant—but practical, effective, and fully integrated into daily operations. This is a hands-on, field-forward role (about 90% in the field) where your judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills will make a real impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, oil & gas, or similar field-based operations
  • OSHA 10 (General Industry or Construction)
  • PEC Veriforce / SafeLand
  • H2S, First Aid / CPR / AED certifications
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Strong communication skills and independent judgment
  • Comfort working in dynamic outdoor field environments

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, or Competent Person – Trenching & Excavation
  • Oil & Gas client-specific certifications (Chevron, Civitas, Oxy, etc.)
  • Experience with heavy equipment
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Spanish language proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development and continuous improvement of Tasman’s Health & Safety Program across Colorado
  • Conduct daily field safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Advise field leaders on hazard mitigation, compliance, and best safety practices
  • Promote a proactive, people-first safety culture on active job sites
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety breaks, and targeted safety communications
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and stop-work investigations
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment (fire extinguishers, gas monitors, first aid kits, etc.)
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes and help implement necessary updates
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Health & Safety Officer and regional leadership
