About The Position

The Field Payroll Manager will oversee the Field Payroll Administrative Representative (FPAR) team and is responsible for managing the design and implanting policy and controls of the time and attendance (T&A) application. This role will be a strategic business partner to the organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing is in place and maintained for the FPAR team to best support the organization. Accountable and responsible for supporting 100+ locations within Amcor North America including sites of all sizes including Union sites.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of work experience in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years of people management experience
  • 2-3 years HR software system experience required, preferably Workday and UKG
  • Experience in large scale manufacturing environment strongly required
  • Experience with diverse, multi-location company with various employee classifications required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leadership, growth and development planning and execution of FPAR team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for shared service model development, deployment, escalation and sustainment across HR in collaboration with other central HR functions to ensure service excellence.
  • Track KPI’s, service metrics and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Analyze trends from the cases and follow up with the appropriate groups for additional training or action
  • Ensure T&A system configuration is in compliance with governmental regulations and union contract language relevant to payroll practices such as overtime, shifts, meal breaks, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring the T&A costs in compliance with the contractual agreements between Amcor and 3rd party vendors including annual software support, clocks, etc.
  • Continuously review and evaluate requests from internal customers to improve processes and enhance system utilization, including reporting.
  • Maintain HR plan and compliance knowledge and continuously build awareness and knowledge of market and service model trends.
  • Final point of escalation and support to team for complex cases, regulatory or other non-standard service requests.
  • Manage exceptions including extraordinary one-off situations needing discerning review and individualized customer service, seeing through to completion.
  • Conducts regular benchmarking and facilitates marketplace appropriate policy enhancement recommendations to leadership to stay competitive in assigned HR program offerings.
  • Work with HRIS team to build Time and Attendance roadmap and governance committee.
