About The Position

Our LNG Client is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Field Operator to support outside operations at the LNG & Power facility in Miami, FL. This position is responsible for performing routine field operations, monitoring LNG systems, and ensuring the safe and efficient loading, offloading, and oversight of equipment and processes. The Field Operator works closely with the Control Room and Operations Supervisor and must demonstrate strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to changing operating conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of LNG, petrochemical, or similar industrial field operations experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of process systems, including valves, pumps, and instrumentation.
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking, climbing, and lifting in an outdoor industrial environment with exposure to varying weather and process conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operator rounds and document equipment status, performance, and abnormalities using the Versify Log System.
  • Participate in shift handovers and attend daily Safety and Plant Status Briefings.
  • Complete Outside Operator Round Sheets and investigate abnormal operating conditions.
  • Physically inspect all required areas and equipment at least every three hours.
  • Load and unload ISO containers and railcars in accordance with procedures.
  • Complete the Miami LNG Truck Loading Checklist and all associated documentation.
  • Verify proper grounding and confirm correct operation of the Scully system prior to loading.
  • Inspect hoses, valves, gaskets, and connection points for leaks, wear, or damage.
  • Monitor and verify pressures, temperatures, oil levels, and overall equipment condition for pumps, valves, storage tanks, and instrumentation.
  • Respond to alarms and process upsets under direction from the Control Room Operator.
  • Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when preparing equipment for maintenance.
  • Identify, document, and report equipment deficiencies and initiate maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Strictly follow all operational procedures, safety policies, and site-specific requirements.
  • Report environmental, safety, or equipment concerns directly to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards, ensuring walkways and equipment areas remain clean and unobstructed.
  • Drain sumps, knockout drums, and dike areas as required.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, particularly during high-risk activities such as loading and startup.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and support additional operational activities as assigned.
  • Follow all verbal and written instructions from management and escalate issues through the Shift Supervisor when necessary.
