About The Position

Operate wells and equipment by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to achieve daily operational plans, reduce equipment failures, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education with previous experience as a Field Technician
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High standard of Safety, Health, and Environmental aptitude and promotes the same in others
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience with pipeline operations
  • Strong familiarity with safety and operations management tools and processes
  • Solid understanding of emergency preparedness procedures
  • Knowledge of project philosophy and design specifications
  • Knowledgeable of relevant regulations
  • Knowledgeable of applicable commercial agreements
  • Must be able to work rotational schedule (14/14)
  • Field-based role requiring active participation in operations and emergency response
  • Ability to support wellwork activities when needed

Responsibilities

  • Implement daily objectives for operations, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security
  • Actively participate in toolbox talks and formal safety meetings
  • Conduct continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to identify corrective and optimization actions that maintain reliable, safe operations
  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform basic maintenance activities
  • Report when alarm, emergency, or shutdown systems are out of service
  • Provide detailed, accurate shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance work in alignment with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans
  • Maintain clear logbook documentation of operational events, abnormalities, and deviations involving equipment or personnel
  • Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing
  • Participate in emergency response activities
  • Report incidents internally and escalate per Incident Reporting Guidelines
  • Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consulted on activities
  • Maintain strong communication across the team to address issues effectively
  • Provide essential information regarding well problems, production rates, and equipment condition
  • Ensure diagnostics are complete before requesting well intervention
  • Confirm wellhead and surface equipment readiness before wellwork begins
  • Provide assistance and support to wellwork operations as required
