About The Position

Field Operations Team Lead GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Digital Range Training System (DRTS) Field Operations Team Lead in support of the Warfighter Training Readiness Solution (W-TRS) Contract, formally known as ATMP. DRTS program is the enabler of range modernization for tactical vehicle training. DRTS provides the infrastructure and instrumentation for Abrams, Bradley, Stryker, and Aviation platform live-fire gunnery training and qualifications and the ability to conduct Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises (CALFEX). GDITs Field Operations Team Lead will report to the PMO and the Technical Onsite Representative (TOR) and is responsible for all employees, tools, inventories, maintenance, and the overall product provided to the government. Requirements

  • BA/BS or 4 years equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Managing US Army DRTS ranges, Military and Leadership Experience preferred
  • Technical expertise in ranges systems, equipment. and range maintenance.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices
  • Experienced in US army doctrine live-fire gunnery training and qualifications, combined arms live fire exercises, and After Action Review (AAR) capabilities.
  • Ability to learn the W-TRS Management Information System (MIS) for controls/recording all work orders and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) property control.
  • Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems
  • Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions
  • Ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid CDL Class C state driver’s license and post driving privileges
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and assess operational procedures in the conduct of live fire training support
  • Provide supervision to ensure W-TRS team conducts their mission on time, properly, and safely
  • Provide all needed resources for the W-TRS team members and ATMP property
  • Develop work schedules
  • Ensure training and inventories are properly conducted
  • Ensure the necessary records and reports are complete and properly maintained
  • Attend all weekly DRTS calls as scheduled and can only be excused by the Task Order (TO) manager
  • Ensures required to maintain and repair and Conduct Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all downrange DRTS equipment and Player Units (PUs).
  • Troubleshoot and repair all DRTS non-IT equipment
  • Prepares team for travel (TDY) to other DRTS locations upon customer request.
  • Supports the required GDIT/W-TRS cross training plan to support other W-TRS TADSS on instillation.
  • Interface with customers and site Government personnel, report TADDS status, any maintenance issues as well as assist with training schedules.
  • Ensure daily range safety briefings are conducted each morning
