About The Position

Operations Manager – Burbank, CA "To make the ordinary business of junk removal exceptional." The Mission We aren’t just hauling junk; we’re in the business of making space for possibilities. As our Operations Manager, you are the heartbeat of the Burbank franchise. You won’t just manage a schedule, you will lead a "blue-collar" elite squad, building a culture of excellence through intentional coaching and developing of every Truck Team Member. The "Get Dirty" Phase To lead the best, you must know the work. Be prepared to spend 90% of your time in the field during the first 3-4 months. You’ll be working side-by-side with Truck Team Members “Getting Dirty" to master the role, understand our operations from the ground up, build immediate credibility, and establish your leadership with the team. Compensation Base Salary: $72,000 per year. Total Earning Potential: $85,000 – $90,000 inclusive of performance-based incentives and bonuses.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in operations or logistics leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-Discipline & Organization: A great attitude paired with strong multi-tasking and time management skills to handle high-volume days.
  • Technical & Mechanical Aptitude: Experience with basic truck/vehicle maintenance.
  • Loyalty & Leadership: A proven track record of coaching and developing diverse teams and building long-term commitment.
  • Lifting & Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Movement: Comfortable with bending, kneeling, reaching, and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Safety: Ability to safely operate hand/power tools and perform basic vehicle checks.

  • Coaching & Developing: Act as a mentor to the Truck Team, identifying individual strengths and providing the continuous feedback and training necessary for professional advancement.
  • Field-Ready Mentorship: This is a hands-on role. You must have the willingness and ability to work as a Truck Team Member on a route when needed , training crews on 1-800-GOT-JUNK? service standards and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Strategic Fleet Management: Master the daily routing and job dispatching to maximize operational efficiency and revenue.
  • KPI Accountability: Own the numbers. You’ll track efficiency and customer satisfaction metrics to drive franchise growth.
