About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and proactive Field Operations Manager to support day-to-day operations across multiple active construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot quickly between tasks, and is comfortable working both in the field and office settings. The Operations Field Manager will help coordinate field activities, manage follow-ups, handle administrative and operational tasks, and travel to project sites as needed. No two days will look the same.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, project management, or field operations.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation and workflows (RFIs, submittals, schedules, punch lists)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools, such as, Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Prior experience working in an active hospital or VA medical facility, with a strong understanding of infection control (ICRA), life-safety requirements, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and working around occupied patient care areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with field coordination between project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and subcontractors
  • Visit job sites as needed to support construction operations, meetings, inspections, and documentation (up to 100% travel is expected)
  • Track action items from field meetings and ensure timely follow-up
  • Support punch list coordination, photo documentation, preconstruction and closeout activities, and scheduling updates
  • Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Operations
  • Manage calendars, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, and logistics
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and other documents as requested
  • Handle a wide range of ad-hoc and time-sensitive tasks with minimal direction
  • Serve as a liaison between the VP and internal teams when needed
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams and external customers
  • Organize documents, files, and project records
  • Track deadlines, priorities, and outstanding items across multiple projects
  • Assist with process improvement and organization as needs arise
  • Travel to project sites as needed
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate field needs, shifting priorities, and urgent requests
  • Be available to support special projects or unexpected issues
