About The Position

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of in‑store campaign elements by driving the performance of third‑party and direct store staff, while also supporting internal product, network, and field readiness processes. This role ensures field teams are prepared, execution issues are resolved quickly, and performance trends are identified and improved through data‑driven insights. We work in a distributed environment. Our office is in Chicago, but you can be located anywhere within the continental United States. Occasional travel to our Chicago office and key partner locations will be required. Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000 annually (based on experience)

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in retail field operations, project management, client/customer service, or a similar operational role
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with advanced Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas, data validation)
  • Experience working with external partners or third‑party labor providers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure execution environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to internal stakeholders, field teams, and external partners
  • Process‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Experience using data and insights to drive decisions and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to AI agent use and/or development is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure third‑party and direct field staff are set up for success each week through clear instructionals, voicemail scripts, scheduling, and program readiness
  • Maintain timely, proactive communication with field partners and internal teams; troubleshoot and resolve issues with urgency
  • Analyze service execution and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Proactively implement corrective actions and support training efforts to improve execution of the Freeosk platform
  • Develop and document repeatable best practices for internal teams and external partners
  • Support new product launches and new retail network implementations by ensuring seamless integration with field operations processes
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews, offering insights on performance and opportunities for improvement
