About The Position

Solar Field Operations Manager The LiveWire Field Operations Manager is primarily responsible for making sure that the supervision, manpower, tools, materials, and equipment resources are being used efficiently and within the parameters of LiveWire’s processes to consistently ensure safe and profitable project outcomes. He / She will collaborate with the rest of the operations team and hold the Foremen accountable for their individual contributions to the success of LiveWire’s projects. The Field Operations Manager will also ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with the standards set forth by our client—all work will be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will possess not only deep technical proficiency, but also the strategic business acumen necessary to drive growth, foster long-term client relationships, and secure complex, high-value projects. This role requires an individual with outstanding negotiation skills, a strong record of operations management success, and the ability to enhance client satisfaction while delivering optimal business outcomes. Compensation: Base salary: $155,000K–$195,000K, commensurate with experience Sign-on bonus Potential individual performance bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Company vehicle allowance or stipend Paid time off Role Summary: The Solar Field Operations Manager will be a leader in the department and be the owner of several concurrently running projects with an average volume of at-risk projects managed of $10M+. The Field Operations Manager will be charged with assisting in growing a strong, robust team and will lead and develop his team. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President. Manage all aspects of the field operations processes while meeting deadlines and company objectives, both short and long term. Collaborate, prepare and present completed projects to company executives and senior management. Assign and coordinate daily field operations to the team for each project, based on schedule and needs.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Be available to work all shifts
  • Must possess the ability to direct, manage and organize required activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within budget
  • Must be able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well without direct supervision, and as part of a team
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must demonstrate self-managed and highly organization with time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and excel in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to: lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds; bend, stoop, and walk in various terrains.
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy, mature, and able to use critical thinking to make informed decisions
  • Previous experience as a Field Operations Manager required
  • Good standing with union if required
  • Experience in reading blueprints, building plans, and specifications
  • Experience reading contract documents
  • Ability to read plans and specifications, and review installation drawings, Labor review and tracking
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient, Excel expert
  • Current OSHA 30 certification required
  • Current First aid / CPR required
  • Must submit to background check, physical, credit check, and MVR

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example—sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, organization, efficiency, and productivity
  • Identifies and implements ways to improve productivity, including prefabrication and methods to maintain secure and organized job site material and tool staging
  • Takes the lead on Company safety adherence and enforcement; actively engages in planning and participating in company safety meetings and initiating any training needed
  • Holds Foremen accountable for executing required duties and documentation: Jobsite visits: Quality Control General project safety Adhering to local code compliance Daily Reports WBS creation and updates Weekly Toolbox Talks Daily quantity reporting Daily labor hour reporting Weekly submission of packing slips Weekly 3-week Labor Look Ahead Week 2-week Delivery Look Ahead Neat and orderly job site material maintenance / organization Efficient material ordering only on the specified days
  • Conducts quality control inspections on project sites to verify work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contract specifications in efforts to avoid unnecessary re-work
  • Ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner
  • Analyzes and quickly resolves problems that may arise
  • Implement and execute quality control plans
  • Schedule and attend meetings as needed with crews and/or office and administrative staff
  • Manpower Scheduling and productivity tracking
  • Attend weekly Project Review meeting and take corrective action to improve performance to align with labor budgets and productivity rates
  • Run the weekly Field Coordination call and follow up on any outstanding Foremen project planning issues
  • Participate in bid reviews and contribute to estimation preparation specifically in confirming accuracy of labor hours and installation rates
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to review change orders and address customer schedule issues impacting LiveWire productivity
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Project Managers to support the creation of project budgets, schedules, and material buyouts
