About The Position

Clipboard exists to lift people up the socioeconomic ladder by allowing professionals to turn extra time and ambition into career growth and financial opportunity through an app-based marketplace connecting workplaces and professionals for on-demand shifts. Clipboard is a fast-growing Series C marketplace, a YC Top Company with a global, remote team of 1,000+ people, profitable since 2022, filling millions of shifts annually across the U.S. The MTO (Market Takeover) team is revolutionizing the staffing industry by running high-energy, in-person events to boost sales and build the Clipboard brand. The Field Marketing Specialist will join the MTO team to build the Clipboard brand and drive growth through compelling in-person events, traveling across the United States. This role involves driving event attendance, managing event execution, and cultivating professional relationships from initial contact to long-term partnership. It is ideal for someone passionate about marketing, events, making a real-world positive impact, and connecting with customers and prospects via phone, at facilities, or at events.

Requirements

  • Have 2–5+ years of professional experience
  • Are energized by the idea of live marketing — you love connecting with communities, creating memorable experiences, and telling a compelling story
  • Are excited by the prospect of traveling 50% of the month to different cities across the US
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment and adapt quickly when the playbook changes
  • Are naturally curious, a creative problem-solver, and see challenges as opportunities
  • Communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and take full ownership of your work

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms is a plus
  • Prior experience in marketing, sales, event planning, or a related field is a plus, but not required
  • A history in the software and healthcare industries is a plus, but not required
  • Have experience in sales, or have been exposed to aspects of a sales cycle

Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 50% of the month to cities across the US to support and execute our in-person events
  • Engage with event attendees to foster a sense of community and build strong relationships with prospective customers in person
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless hand off to close deals
  • Making calls to prospective customers to secure event attendance
  • Write tailored emails to prospects and customers to follow-up on their experience
  • Track and analyze event outcomes and learnings, providing insights for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the overall field marketing strategy for Project MTO
