About The Position

The Field Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in connecting Heart + Paw to local pet communities while supporting data-informed local marketing strategy. This role is primarily field-based and highly interactive, focused on executing grassroots marketing initiatives, events, sponsorships, and brand activations across multiple states. In addition to being the boots-on-the-ground brand representative, this individual will also spend a portion of their time reviewing local performance and marketing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and then translating those insights into creative, actionable field marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on, travel-intensive role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of community engagement, event execution, and practical analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, community engagement, or a similar hands-on marketing role
  • Comfortable reviewing and interpreting performance data and dashboards, with the ability to extract insights and recommend action
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Outgoing, confident communicator with the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Passion for animals and comfort engaging with pets and pet parents
  • Ability to travel frequently and work evenings and weekends as required for events
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport event materials

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with center leadership and teams, providing marketing support to drive local awareness and demand
  • Plan and execute local events including grand openings, in-center activations, adoption events, community festivals, and neighborhood sponsorships
  • Serve as an on-site brand ambassador, representing Heart + Paw with an engaging, professional, and welcoming presence
  • Travel extensively across regional markets to support events, pop-ups, and partner activations (up to 75% travel)
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with local client referral sources such as apartment and condo complexes, new home builders, and pet-friendly businesses
  • Coordinate logistics for event materials, signage, giveaways, displays, and branded assets
  • Support brand and program partnerships with pet-related organizations including rescue groups, shelters, groomers, trainers, and aligned local brands
  • Capture and share photos, videos, and testimonials from events to support social media and local marketing efforts
  • Curate and elevate content from local centers and teams that highlights client and pet engagement
  • Review and interpret local and regional performance data and marketing reporting (Power BI and related dashboards)
  • Identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities at the center and market level
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations partners to translate insights into targeted field marketing strategies and activations
  • Think creatively about how to address performance opportunities through events, partnerships, promotions, and community outreach
  • Track and report event and activation outcomes including attendance, engagement, leads, and ROI to inform continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with the Marketing Team, Operations counterparts, and the Marketing Program Manager to align local execution with broader brand initiatives
  • Assist with local marketing campaigns including flyers, in-center promotions, and community outreach programs
  • Support local media outreach to generate awareness and buzz for events and center milestones
  • Attend team meetings as appropriate, both in person and virtually
