About The Position

We are looking for a Field Manager for a growing team at an installation, manufacturing and distribution company in Tampa, Florida. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Clermont, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders. If you enjoy working the job site, this job is for you! Our Field Managers are our eyes and ears on our job sites. The ABS Multi Family Mission Statement is, “To provide excellent customer service by consistently delivering the right material at the correct time and ensuring that the material is properly managed through the completion of installation.” Field Managers are responsible for making sure that our Mission Statement is accomplished on each job to which they are assigned, from beginning to completion. The applicant will be working closely with Superintendents; therefore, they will need to be friendly and communicative. The applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule and adjust easily to change. This is a fast-moving job that requires quick thinking and accuracy in quality of work, as well as: Being detail oriented and organized Excellent written and verbal communications skills The ability to manage complex projects and schedules This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position. Requirements

  • Being detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to manage complex projects and schedules
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft office
  • Heavy Lifting
  • Long Periods of Standing
  • Long Periods of working outdoors and on active construction sites

Nice To Haves

  • 5 plus years of supervisory experience
  • Finished carpentry experience
  • Hardware/Lock Knowledge
  • Warranty or Defective Product Assessment experience
