Job Summary: Perform inspection and repairs on all rotating equipment including gearboxes, motors, compressors, pumps, steam turbines, blowers, and fans. Perform preventative maintenance tasks for all rotating equipment including gearboxes, motors, compressors, pumps, steam turbines, blowers, and fans. Perform annual mechanical integrity inspections on steam turbine emergency/overspeed trip mechanisms. Troubleshoot rotating equipment with excessive vibration, seal leaks, and performance issues. Reading machinery and mechanical seal blueprints. Operate shop turret lathe and horizontal milling machines. Maintain and record documentation for rotating equipment inspection and repairs and mechanical integrity tasks. Responsible for emergency callouts and weekly on-call duty. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance of Petrochemical/Refining Rotating Equipment. Knowledge of performing shop repairs on all types of rotating equipment with emphasis on process pumps. Reverse, Rim/Face, and Laser Alignment Methods. Lubrication methods for all types of rotating equipment. Machinist experience a plus (lathes, horizontal mill, etc.) Use of Precision Measuring Tools, Shop Equipment such as Drill Press, Band Saw, Hydraulic Press, and Bearing Heaters. Good Rigging Skills.
