In commercial electrical work, the field is where everything happens - and our Apollo teams rely on dependable technology to keep projects on schedule and communication flowing. We're looking for a Field IT Systems & Integration Specialist who's just as comfortable walking a jobsite or wiring a network cabinet as they are writing code or integrating software. This role supports the technology that powers our field operations: jobsite trailers, mobile devices, project management tools, network infrastructure, and AI‑enhanced workflows. You'll be the go‑to expert for keeping our crews connected, our systems integrated, and our technology running smoothly in fast-paced, real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting technology in construction, electrical, or other field-based industries.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
  • Ability to write scripts or tools that automate field workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience with Claude AI or similar AI platforms.
  • Solid understanding of system integration and APIs.
  • Proficiency with Windows, mobile OS platforms, and basic Linux environments.
  • Strong networking skills, including punch-downs and structured cabling.
  • Comfort working in jobsite environments (trailers, warehouses, active construction areas).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a calm, practical approach under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Accubid, or ServiceTitan.
  • Experience setting up temporary networks or remote jobsite connectivity.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting BIM/CAD stations or coordination technology.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain IT equipment in jobsite trailers, including networking gear, printers, laptops, and field tablets.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting field supervisors, foremen, and project teams.
  • Deploy and support mobile devices used for timekeeping, project management, and field documentation.
  • Ensure reliable access to company systems from remote and temporary locations.
  • Perform punch‑downs, cable terminations, and patch panel organization in both office and jobsite environments.
  • Install and configure switches, routers, access points, and temporary jobsite networks.
  • Maintain clean, labeled, and well‑documented cabling and network hardware.
  • Support connectivity for BIM stations, coordination meetings, and field technology hubs.
  • Install and support software used by field teams, project managers, and estimators.
  • Integrate APIs and platforms commonly used in the electrical contracting industry.
  • Ensure smooth communication between field applications, databases, and internal systems.
  • Assist with onboarding new tools that improve field productivity and communication.
  • Use Claude AI to streamline field workflows such as generating reports, summarizing project documents, or automating repetitive tasks.
  • Build simple AI‑assisted tools that help field teams access information faster.
  • Train field staff on practical, real-world uses of AI to improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI to reduce paperwork, speed up communication, and support decision‑making.
  • Respond quickly and provide responsive technical support to staff, field supervisors, and jobsite personnel.
  • Repair or replace hardware used in rugged environments.
  • Maintain system security, backups, and updates across office and field devices.
  • Document procedures and maintain clear communication with project teams.
