Field Interviewers are responsible for frequently traveling to selected locations to recruit study participants and make in-person contact with respondents to discuss studies, answer questions, and obtain participation. They perform proper administration of computer-assisted interviews, collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires. The role requires independent management of administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings, transmitting data, and assuming full legal responsibility for project-issued equipment. Interviewers must safeguard participant incentives and project materials, track incentives, and submit timely and accurate Time & Expense reports. They are expected to virtually attend scheduled meetings, approach selected households without prior appointment, work and drive after dark, and attend weekly scheduled calls with their Field Supervisor. Adherence to a schedule set by the Field Supervisor for respondent contact times is required, as is providing availability for field observations. Maintaining required system updates to project equipment and completing administrative tasks are also part of the role.
