About The Position

As the Field Helper, you will work directly with our talented Slab and Tile Installation team to support high-quality stone installations at various customer job sites. The Field Helper will assist experienced installers and the Installation Manager with material handling, site preparation, and general labor to ensure every project is completed safely and efficiently. This role reports to the Installation Manager and is based out of our Richmond, CA facility. This is a non-exempt, hourly position and pays $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

Physically Capable: You are ready to stand, kneel, and squat throughout the day and can lift 50+ lbs (we love a team player who prioritizes safety during heavy moves).
Reliable & Early Riser: You’re a morning person who can reliably commute to various job sites across the Bay Area for early start times.
Safety-First Mindset: You are comfortable wearing required PPE (Steel-toes are a must!) and strictly following job-site safety rules.
You have a passion for craftsmanship and an eye for detail, whether working with natural stone, engineered surfaces, or artisan tile.
You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to uphold the "Excellence from the Ground Up" standard that Fox Marble and Fireclay are known for.

Nice To Haves

Construction Minded: While not required, your previous experience with hand tools, forklifts, or construction crews will give you a major head start.

Responsibilities

Execute foundational tasks by assisting installation crews with layout, staging, and basic stone/tile installation.
Master material logistics by safely loading, unloading, and transporting heavy stone slabs and tools using proper team-lifting techniques.
Maintain site excellence by keeping work areas clean and organized throughout the day and preparing installation vehicles for the following day’s success.
Grow into a Craftsman: Take advantage of a clear path for advancement, moving from a helper role into a skilled Installer position.
